Welcome to Volunteer Corner (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using our mobile application and website (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.
Volunteer Corner provides a platform that connects volunteers with charities and organizations in need of volunteer services (“Service”). Additionally, we partner with sponsors to provide rewards and perks to volunteers as they reach certain milestones.
You must be at least 13 years old to use our Service. Volunteers aged 13-16 may use the Service with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. Volunteers under 13 years old must have a parent or guardian create and manage their Account and ensure supervision during all volunteer activities.
To use certain features of the App, you must register for an account (“Account”). If you are aged 13-16, you may register and use the Account with the consent of a parent or guardian. For volunteers under 13, a parent or guardian must create and manage the Account on behalf of the child and ensure that they are supervised during all volunteer activities.

Volunteers may earn rewards and perks from our sponsors upon reaching certain milestones. These rewards are subject to availability and may change at any time. Sponsors are responsible for providing the rewards, and Volunteer Corner is not liable for any issues arising from the redemption of these rewards.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.
The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the Service or the content available through the Service. We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Volunteer Corner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on our website and/or App. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy. For volunteers under 13, parental consent is required to collect and process their personal information.
We require all users aged 13-16 to provide parental or guardian consent before using the Service. For users under 13, a parent or guardian must create and manage the Account on behalf of the child and ensure that they are supervised during all volunteer activities. We reserve the right to request proof of age and parental consent at any time.
All content and materials on the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of Volunteer Corner or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You agree not to copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content from the Service without our prior written permission.
We welcome your feedback, comments, and suggestions for improving the Service (“Feedback”). By submitting Feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such Feedback in any form.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Volunteer Corner. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that Volunteer Corner shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services.
If you access the Service through a mobile application, you acknowledge that your agreement with your mobile network provider will apply to your use of the Service. You may be charged by your mobile provider for data services while using certain features of the Service, and you accept responsibility for such charges. If you are not the bill payer for the device being used to access the Service, you will be assumed to have received permission from the bill payer to use the Service.
In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach thereof, you and Volunteer Corner agree to attempt to resolve the dispute through informal negotiation first. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, any ensuing legal actions must be brought exclusively in the courts located in the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
You may post, upload, or otherwise contribute content to the Service (collectively, “User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Volunteer Corner a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display your User Content in connection with the Service.

By creating an Account, you agree to receive certain electronic communications from Volunteer Corner, such as updates, offers, and other information. You may opt-out of receiving these communications at any time by following the instructions provided in the communications.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or without interruption. We may experience hardware, software, or other problems or need to perform maintenance related to the Service, resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors. You agree that Volunteer Corner has no liability for any loss or damage caused by the Service being unavailable.
From time to time, we may offer new “beta” features or tools with which our users may experiment. Such features or tools are offered solely for experimental purposes and without any warranty of any kind and may be modified or discontinued at our sole discretion.
You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those specific to your location, when using the Service. You agree not to use the Service in any way that would violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
The Service is controlled and operated from within Canada. We make no representations that the Service is appropriate or available for use in other locations. Those who access or use the Service from other jurisdictions do so at their own risk and are responsible for compliance with local law.
Any information provided through the Service is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice. You should consult a professional or seek independent advice before making any decisions based on such information.
Volunteer Corner shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay is caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, natural disasters, strikes, or government actions.
You acknowledge and agree that by clicking on any button or taking any other action to indicate your consent or agreement, you are entering into a legally binding contract. You agree that electronic signatures are the legal equivalent of manual signatures.
Volunteers and charities are responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment during volunteer activities. Volunteers should take reasonable steps to ensure their own health and safety, and charities must comply with applicable health and safety laws and regulations.
Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by Volunteer Corner. No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and Volunteer Corner’s failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
These Terms may have been translated into other languages for your convenience. However, the English version governs your relationship with Volunteer Corner, and any inconsistencies among the different versions will be resolved in favor of the English version.
We will retain your information for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your Account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, please contact us. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Any notices or other communications provided by Volunteer Corner under these Terms, including those regarding modifications to these Terms, will be given by posting to the Service and/or by email to the address associated with your Account.
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users of the Service. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other users. Volunteer Corner shall have no liability for your interactions with other users, or for any user’s action or inaction.
We make no representations that the Service is available or appropriate for use in all locations. Access to the Service may not be legal by certain persons or in certain countries. If you access the Service from outside Canada, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
To ensure a safe and positive experience for all users, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
If you encounter a user who is acting inappropriately, including but not limited to offensive, violent, or harassing behavior, you are encouraged to report such behavior to us. We will review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include banning the offending user from the Service. Special attention will be given to reports involving minors.
Volunteer Corner may, from time to time, in its sole discretion, develop and provide Service updates, which may include upgrades, bug fixes, patches, other error corrections, and/or new features (collectively, including related documentation, “Updates”). Updates may also modify or delete in their entirety certain features and functionality. You agree that Volunteer Corner has no obligation to provide any Updates or to continue to provide or enable any particular features or functionality. Based on your mobile device settings, when your mobile device is connected to the internet either: (a) the Service will automatically download and install all available Updates; or (b) you may receive notice of or be prompted to download and install available Updates.
No failure or delay by Volunteer Corner in exercising any right under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that right or any other right. No waiver of any term of these Terms will be binding unless in writing and signed by Volunteer Corner.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by Volunteer Corner on the Service, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and Volunteer Corner concerning the Service. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms, which shall remain in full force and effect.
